Instead of throwing away a plastic cup from your morning coffee, bring your own! Most places will fill your cup if you bring one with. Make sure you know how many ounces it holds so you can tell them once it's filled.
I always bring a water bottle with me wherever I go. You're less likely to buy a bottle of water or drink when you're out if you know you brought water already.
This brand of lip balm uses biodegradable material for the containers instead of plastic. They also have some interesting flavors.
These are a great alternative to the circle, cotton makeup remover pads that you throw away. I personally don't use anything but my hands when I wash my face, but I have friends who use these and love them!
Using a menstrual cup instead of tampons saves the environment and your bank account. They are way more comfortable in my opinion too.
Since bamboo grows fast it is more sustainable than trees. You'll notice I have a lot of bamboo products in this list.
I have a bamboo toothbrush and it works just at well as a plastic one :)
I have yet to try soap nuts for myself, but I have friends who use them, and they are kind of amazing. The natural components that make up the inside of the nuts are very similar to soap. Throw a few in with your laundry while you wash it and viola! Clean laundry.
These paper towels are thicker and much more absorbent than regular paper towels. And hey, they're made from bamboo too!
Use glass bottles for your cleaners instead of plastic. And if you're really feeling it, make your own homemade cleaner. It's better for you!
I have these and I love them, they are way stronger than normal ziplock bags.
This company makes lots of food huggers, but this avocado saver is my favorite :)
A more common zero waste habit is to use a reusable grocery bag. There are some very cute ones on Amazon but you can also sew your own!
These things are amazing! All it is is fabric coated in beeswax to create Zero Waste plastic saran wrap. The two below are my favorite. They work great for packed lunches.
These are a great alternative for plastic Tupperware. They're on my list of things to buy!
Reusable straws are great for smoothies! I use mine a lot.
Instead of throwing away coffee filter after coffee filter, just buy a reusable one. It's another money saver too!
A french press is another option for no coffee filter waste. My boyfriend really wants to get this one.
